Majorettes is a sport which combines music and body movements, like dancing but with props. We use pompoms and flags as props.
The team consists of 24 girls taking part in one or both of these categories. Majorettes wear a stunning, colourful uniform which really makes them feel very special and competitive.
The girls take part in 4 competitions a year on provincial level. Displays encompass excitement, anticipation and team spirit for both spectators and athletes to enjoy. All of this culminates in pride and the thrill of working together as a team.
Majorettes strive to develop young people to reach their full potential on an emotional, social, physical or cognitive level. It promotes group development and a competitive spirit while recognising the principles of winning and losing.
